Physical Exercise In Sexual Life

— Professor Carlos Santos —

Physical exercise can positively influence libido, reduce stress, and increase self-esteem. Endurance, strength, and flexibility help improve comfort and sexual pleasure.

Physical Exercise in Sexual Life
As is generally known, and according to the World Health Organization, physical exercise should be practiced by everyone, with a recommendation of 150 minutes of moderate intensity per week.

This practice has various benefits for the Human Being, both in terms of disease prevention and the aesthetic level of the body.

Among these benefits, we can also find a positive influence on libido, due to the release of hormones into the bloodstream, such as endorphin and serotonin (also known as happiness hormones).

Another great help that physical exercise provides is the release of stress and the increase of self-esteem.

These two factors together are very important, as they often negatively influence one's sex life. In this regard, the psychological benefit is enormous, making us more predisposed to sexual activity.

Within the world of exercise, there are various options that can help promote greater satisfaction and pleasure in one's sex life.

From outdoor exercise to the traditional gym, we find a wide range of training methods and exercises that make a difference at the time of pleasure, improving the capabilities of the Human Being, such as:

Increase in cardiovascular endurance – Having a greater ability to supply oxygen to the body tissues helps control breathing and prolong the sexual act, feeling less tired both during and after it.

Increase in muscle strength – Particularly in the case of Men, the testosterone produced in strength training plays a fundamental role in sexual performance. But in both Men and Women, muscle strength helps to widen the range of positions that can be performed during the act, particularly strength in the core (abdominal region), arms, thighs, and glutes.

Increase in Flexibility – The greater the degree of freedom of your body tissues, the greater the range of movements, allowing you to imagine yourself in positions different from the usual.

Seeking help regarding physical exercise is the best way to improve all the aspects mentioned above. Whether in a gym, outdoors, autonomous exercise, or through personal training sessions, the important thing is to move your body!
